Outside its walls, the museum was also active. One of its many events was the “Voyage à toute vapeur”, which made it possible to put the locomotive 140 C 27 next to the TGV in Belfort in 1984. Two years later, on the place des Victoires in Mulhouse, the 030 TA 628 was put on display for the public.
